SNR Morgan Pty Ltd takes great pride in being part of the Townsville community. We have been involved in many events and are invested in helping to make Townsville and Australia a better place for those in need. We have over the years, given time and financial aid to many different charities and causes.
Back in 2020, SNR Morgan donated generously to the New South Wales Bushfire appeal. While we deal with Cyclones here in North Queensland, a fire is surely a more terrifying concept.
We have on several occasions supported the Australasian Institute of Policing – Our Police force, brave men and women who put their lives on the line for us every day. They deserve our respect and support.
Another group of unsung heroes, in our opinion, are Paramedics, again these women and men, while saving lives are subjected to abuse and violence which SNR Morgan find unacceptable in any form. We have in the past and continue to Donate to the Council of Ambulance Union.
At SNR Morgan we believe in a healthy body, healthy mind philosophy. Particularly with the young members of our community. We feel outdoor sporting groups should be supported and be within the reach of all. With that in mind we have made financial contributions to the Townsville Rock Wheel MTB Club
In an effort to brighten the lives of children and their families, during stressful stays in hospital. SNR Morgan our Business Manager Leona Burling spent a fun filled few shopping hours selecting suitable toys for the James Cook University Hospital Childrens Ward. As Leona said, “I think I got more out of this experience than the kids!” Its something we have repeated and continue to do annually.
A cause close to our hearts is “Share the dignity Australia” (It’s in the bag program. This program supports women and young girls who have suffered from domestic abuse and homelessness. It serves to provide these women with a bag containing essential items. Leona Burling put together many of these bags and presented them to Embrace Fitness, who in turn sees that they go where they are most needed.
SNR Morgan has sponsored the Julia Creek Horse Racing Carnival. This Carnival brings together people from far and wide and creates a great community spirit. For many people living and working out in these areas, this is the highlight of their year.
Many of our Staff members at SNR Morgan have children. Which is why we were moved to help a 5-year-old Townsville boy who had been diagnosed with Cancer. To help his parents with the costs of treatment in Brisbane, we gifted a huge range of power tools to be raffled off. The winner of this great prize was thrilled.
The Tassell Trophy Challenge has been held annually since 2001, with under 14 players travelling across states to compete. SNR Morgan is a proud sponsor of Khloe Leysley, who plays for the Brothers U14 Girls Rugby League Team, who will be competing in the Tassell Trophy Challenge hosted by the Kangaroos Junior Rugby League Club Cairns.
